In 1932 the Argentinean market gives big welcome to a new and very important member: The “Marilú” doll. She was created specially for the High Society of Argentina, under the same conception of the French “Bleuette” doll.
Extraordinary wardrobes and accessories for this doll were created and sold at the Marilú stores. The big success of the doll allowed to publish in 1933 her own magazine for girls inspired by
“La Semaine de Suzette”
. The new
“MARILÚ”
magazine included stories, games, crafts, recipes and clothing patterns for the doll.
The very first Marilú dolls were manufactured in Germany by “Kämmer & Reinhardt” and after 1936 by “König & Wernicke”. Since 1940 Marilú was totally manufactured
    in Argentina by “Bebilandia”.
